UN Women

NCCK has partnered with UN Women for over 4 years to increase women in leadership position and decision making spaces.

In 2021 and 2022, the goal was to contribute to increased number of women of all ages to participate in decision making processes at all levels in peace and security processes, politics and decision making in Kwale, Turkana, Samburu, Embu, Kisii and Kitui, County In 2023, the goal was to contribute to an increased number of women of all ages participating in decision-making processes at all levels in politics and peace and security processes in Kwale, Turkana, Samburu, Embu, Kisii and Kitui, Vihiga, Bungoma and Uasin Gishu Counties

In 2024, the goal was to contribute to enhanced capacities of women to participate in leadership roles and contribute to decision making processes at county and sub-county level on governance, peace and security in Bungoma and Vihiga counties; and enhancing capacity for conflict prevention and peacebuilding nationally and in Samburu, Embu and Kisii Counties.
